Greetings!
I’m Kelly Metz-Matthews, Ph.D., a pracademic and educational leadership wonk invested in the community college and adult education spheres. I call the San Diego College of Continuing Education my academic home. I am also an English Language Specialist with the U.S. Department of State and an Associate Editor for Applied Linguistics. My research centers largely around participatory and collaborative writing pedagogies, language ideologies in multilingual spaces, and the intersections of language, gender, and symbolic power, though I am increasingly also interested in what leadership/mentorship looks like for women in the TESOL space.
